With Alina approaching 40 years young, the Ravensthorpe Coopers raided airbnb and found a cute cottage in North Wales near Llandudno.
The weekend started by watching the King’s coronation before seeing Big Orme and eating pizza & ice cream in Llandudno.
On the Sunday, there were rumours that pirates would try to ‘plunder’ Conwy Castle. The rumours were true as a pirate festival was held and ‘brave’ pirates arrived via cannon fire from a pirate ship and tried (and failed) to take the castle. They were defeated by the mean government militia to resounding boos before parading through the town. A quick nip to the beach finished the day.
Alina’s birthday was a tad wet, so an indoor day was had at the Rhyl Aquarium. After some giant cookies (and a few laps and the aquarium) more pizza was consumed near Little Orm where the cottage was. Some fireworks on a cake finished the day.
